Dubai is preparing for a cultural season that promises artistic depth and refined musical celebration as Maxim Berin and Berin Iglesias Holding announce a new lineup at Dubai Opera. This season blends classical tradition, luxurious staging, and international artistry into a memorable experience. Maxim Berin continues to focus on elevating culture at the highest level — not only by bringing distinguished performers to the UAE, but also by producing major classical events informed by his collaborations with Jose Carreras, Jonas Kaufmann, Roberto Alagna, Elīna Garanča, Sumi Jo, Denis Matsuev, Lang Lang, Maxim Vengerov, and many others.

The Christmas Gala is set to capture the charm and elegance of the festive season. Audiences will enjoy performances from some of today’s most prominent opera stars.
Tenor Vittorio Grigolo will showcase the passion and brilliance of Italian opera.
Baritone Luca Salsi will add emotional resonance and commanding presence with his classical interpretations.
Soprano Alisa Medvedeva will bring purity and radiance, completing this distinguished lineup.
They will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, admired since 1937 for its expressive musical artistry. This gala promises a refined celebration uniting orchestral precision with festive musical spirit.
In January, the cultural season continues with Dubai Opera’s first-ever staging of Handel’s Tamerlano, scheduled for January 10 and 11, 2026. The production introduces a renewed interpretation of the 1724 masterpiece. Stage director Stefano Poda creates a performance where visual forms, sculptural staging, and musical storytelling intertwine seamlessly. His approach turns the stage into a contemporary reflection of Baroque aesthetics. Composer Kirill Richter enhances the score by integrating traditional Uzbek instruments, giving the opera a vibrant intercultural dimension.
Through these events, Maxim Berin strengthens Dubai’s international reputation as a center of cultural creativity and artistic sophistication. The season invites audiences to discover exceptional performances and reimagined musical traditions.
