Visa, the global digital payments powerhouse, is gearing up to spotlight the future of finance and technology at GITEX Africa 2025, taking place from April 14 to 16 in Marrakech, Morocco. As the official Financial Innovation Partner, Visa is seizing the opportunity to reinforce its commitment to empowering digital transformation, fostering financial inclusion, and accelerating cashless ecosystems across Africa.

This year’s GITEX Africa, the continent’s largest tech and startup exhibition, promises to be a nexus for innovation, and Visa is leading the charge by merging its fintech expertise with the energy of African football. As the exclusive digital payment provider for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, Visa will bring to life a “Visa Connected Stadium” experience at the event. Visitors can explore how advanced payment solutions—covering ticket purchases, transportation, merchandise, and stadium access—create a seamless and secure fan experience.

Football fans attending the event will also enjoy a rare treat on April 14: the official AFCON and WAFCON trophieswill be on display at the Visa booth, symbolizing Visa’s deep-rooted connection to the continent’s passion for the sport.

In addition to showcasing its role in sports innovation, Visa will also spotlight its commitment to fintech growth with the grand finale of its Visa Accelerator Program. On April 15, 18 promising African fintech startups will pitch their solutions during Demo Day at the 10X Stage in Hall 23 at 2:15 PM. These ventures recently wrapped up a 12-week accelerator, receiving one-on-one mentorship, business development support, and opportunities to access capital and partnerships.

Throughout the event, attendees can hear exclusive insights from top Visa executives including:

  • Andrew Torre, Regional President, CEMEA
  • Leila Serhan, SVP for North Africa, Levant, and Pakistan
  • Sami Romdhane, Country Manager, Visa Morocco
  • Godfrey Sullivan, SVP of Strategy, Products & Digital Partnerships, CEMEA

Visa invites all GITEX Africa participants to visit Stand No. 16B-20 in Hall 16, where they can interact with cutting-edge fintech demos, attend live panels, and discover how Visa is helping shape Africa’s digital financial future.
