Tens of thousands of people rallied in Belgrade on Sunday, calling for snap parliamentary elections, in one of the largest opposition-led demonstrations in recent months. Protesters marched through the city center accusing the government of President Aleksandar Vučić of eroding democracy and tightening control over institutions.

The demonstration was organized by a coalition of opposition parties and civic groups, which argue that the current parliament does not reflect the will of the people. Marchers waved Serbian flags and carried banners demanding political change, fairer media coverage, and accountability from the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.

The protests come as Serbia faces mounting political tensions and economic challenges, alongside slow-moving negotiations with the European Union. Opposition leaders said the rallies will continue until the government agrees to hold early elections.
